Warli quilling wall hanging:-

Warli painting is a tribal art of India. I tried to make a quilling warli art piece..
Quilling strips
Slotted tool
Warli design (preferably a coloured one, I used a white sheet)
Gum.

Draw the desired drawing on the sheet of paper using pencil.

Start rolling the strips by inserting the strip in the gap.

Make a whole tight circle and glue it.

Since my picture has people I used cream color for head , legs and hands.

For the body:-
First make a circle same as before.

When you let go of it, it loosens up.

Pinch one side of the circle.

Same way pinch them on other two sides, to get a triangle. You can use this for the body.

Use different color for different men.

Drum:-
For the top portion of the drum roll two colours of strips.

Loosen them up and bend them (pinch) on two sides of opposite direction to get an oval.

For the bottom portion, make a loose circle.

Bend the circle twice only on the top portion of the circle.

You will get a semi circle.

Make small circles of black color and use them for the sticks.

Make circle with two colours and use them for the drum.

For trumpet:-
You can use a quilling comb or your fingers for this.
Start with one finger, wrap it around one fingers first, glue it.

Next round wrap it around the second finger and go on to the next finger and so on..

You will get this design.. If you are using a comb, same technique with the needle of the comb. Bend it to make a trumpet.

Use cream color small bits for legs and hands, black for feet..

Your piece is ready..

YAY.....

Happy crafting..
